Description
If you’re a fan of the tradfolk infused with a bit of prog in the spirit of Bert Jansch, Nick Drake and John Renbourn, you’re in the right place. Henry Parker is playing at Oak Folk on March 20th and we couldn’t be more excited!
I’ve heard Henry Parker described as ‘quietly renowned’ and this couldn’t be more apt: his is a gentle melding of technical precision, 70s inspired exposition and gets straight to the heart of what folk music should mean in 2026.
Henry has released two solo albums (in 2019 and 2021), an instrumental offering with David Ian Roberts in 2024 and has shared stages with luminaries such as Wizz Jones, Michael Chapman, and of course Katie Spencer.
This will be an evening of superlative finger picking guitar and songwriting – and we hope to see you there!
As always, tickets are strictly limited and we’d encourage you to get yours early!
“Focussing on the seasons is an eternal feature of English folk music and the tradition is well tended here.” – Shindig!
“His relaxed vocals and songwriting are as warm and open as his tunings” – Uncut
