Description
How to introduce Serious Sam Barrett? It’s hard to top the Guardian’s summation:
“Old before his years country-folk fellow who mixes intricate John Fahey finger-picking with confessional tales of dirty old Leeds”
And that’s pretty bang-on the money. Serious Sam Barrett is carving out a niche for this blend of northern grit and Smokies-Appalachian banjo twang. It was Georgia Shackleton who introduced us to his music and suggested he’d be an ideal candidate for the 2027 Oak Folk season and that’s high praise indeed!
We can’t wait for this!
