Kett’s Books is a community bookshop run by volunteers. This means that all our people are here because they believe in what we’re doing as a community.

We moved to Market Place so we could offer more events to the community, but also so we could offer more volunteering opportunities. And whatever your skill, we may have a role for you. Our beautiful retail space was produced by a tireless team of volunteers – most of whom didn’t want to work with books, but believe in what we’re doing as a community business, and stepped forward to help us deliver our dream.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please call in and pick up an information pack. You might also want to read our last annual report for more information about us and what we do. When you’ve filled in the pack and returned it, we may be able to be in touch about possibilities of working together.

Please be patient with us – most of us are volunteers ourselves, and it may take a little while either for us to get back to you, or for there to be a gap that’s a good fit with what we’re doing right now.
