We love a book group. They’re a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and talk about books on a regular basis.
But we also know that it’s not always possible to commit to a monthly group. Maybe life’s too full. Maybe monthly’s too often. Maybe it feels a bit too much pressure.
Enter the Big Book Group.
Every quarter volunteers Em and Ruth will lead a really, really informal discussion of a particular book in the cosy surrounds of the bookshop. There will be drinks and biscuits alongside. Everyone’s welcome.
Never been to a book group before? That’s fine! Expect informal conversation! Em and Ruth will offer some questions and conversation starters if needed, but for us it’s much more important for us to be together, with other book fans.
Good to know:
- We’ll meet on the last Wednesday of August, November, February and May at 7pm
- £7 per person (including a drink)
- Read the book before you come – we’ll be talking about the whole book, and that’ll obviously mean spoilers!
- The next two books will be available to buy in the shop right now (we’ll always let you know at least the next two titles, so you should have plenty of time to finish them)
