Description
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Nick Hart will be joining the Oak Folk collective for a performance on Thursday 26 February, 2026.
Nick is regarded as one of the finest English folk musicians working today – and with good reason. As an award-winning singer and multi-instrumentalist he’s justly earned a reputation as one of the most acclaimed performers of his generation. Storytelling is the beating heart of Nick’s work. His mastery of innumerable instruments and his extraordinary voice combine to deliver the narratives of Old Albion in a way that is highly resonant, captivating and deeply affecting.
Nick has released three solo albums, ‘Nick Hart Sings Eight English Folk Songs’ (2017) and Nick Hart Sings Nine English Folk Songs (2019), and Nick Hart Sings Ten English Folk Songs (2022), all to critical acclaim. He is currently at work on an album of traditional nursery rhymes (in collaboration with Jackie Oates and Alex Merry). This project came about as a way to improve the experience for children of listening to those important first songs and rhymes – and to give them an alternative to the overly-produced versions often available.
Nick has performed as an actor/musician, has worked as a composer/musical director for theatre, is a sought after teacher and workshop leader, and also restores and repairs musicial instruments.
In short, this is a gig you won’t want to miss!
